  22. As I stated, we have no plans to set up a newsgroup. If owners of our
  23. programs set one up, we would read and reply to messages in it. What is
  24. the difference between this newsgroup which discusses general Amiga
  25. applications and a newsgroup that discusses specific Amiga applications?

  27. Making newsgroups more specialized allows people to cut down the amount
  28. of time they spend reading messages. If owners of a SoftLogik product
  29. want to set up a newsgroup to discuss it, why should anybody else care?

  31. We will neither sponsor a newsgroup nor dissuade our customers from
  32. setting one up. I was merely pointing out that if one was set up, that
  33. I thought it would make more sense to group it in comp rather than alt.

  38. Mailing lists are very useful, and we do hope to have one in the future.
  39. I subscribe to a number of them, but it's not an either or situation.
  40. Some people don't like mailing lists and having another option would be
  41. useful.

  43. A web page form for input would be useful too, but seriously, it's not
  44. a replacement for a discussion in a newsgroup or a mailing list. And I
  45. certainly don't have the time to set up a bbs on a web page. Someday when
  46. PageMill 5.0 with the new forum extension is available, maybe. ;-)
